Who we are
Demapoints is a family points-and-rewards app. Parents create a family account, add children by nickname, and award points for tasks, reading and screen-free challenges.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It was last updated on 1 October 2026.
What we collect
From parents: your email address and password (stored scrambled), your family display name, time zone, and currency and piggy bank settings.
About children: only a nickname and a 4-digit PIN, which is stored scrambled. We never ask for a child's email address, phone number, last name, age or date of birth.
Activity you add: tasks, approvals, points, rewards, piggy bank saves and payouts, reading logs, challenges, streaks and bonus days.
Payment details: we never see or store your card. Payments are handled by our payment provider, who tells us only your plan, its status and renewal date.
What we never do
No ads, and no third-party advertising or tracking.
We never sell or rent your information to anyone.
We never track or monitor a child's device or app usage. Screen-free challenges run on an honour system.
We never compare children to each other, and points are never taken away as a punishment.
How we use information
To run the app: keeping points, seasons, streaks and history correct for your family.
To manage your plan and billing, and to send essential account emails such as email confirmation, password resets and trial reminders.
We do not use your family's information for advertising or profiling.
Who can see your information
Only the signed-in parent account can see or change a family's information. Children see only their own screen, reached with their nickname and PIN.
Our hosting and payment providers process information only to run the service, under their own strict terms.
Your choices and rights
Download a copy of your family's data at any time from Settings, as CSV or JSON.
Remove a child (their history stays saved) or delete a child permanently.
Delete your whole account and all its data from Settings. This really deletes it — it is not just hidden.
Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, export or delete your information. Email us and we will help.
How long we keep information
We keep your family's information while your account is active. If you delete your account, your family's data is deleted from our systems. Payment records may be kept by our payment provider as required by law.
Children's privacy
Demapoints is designed so children share as little as possible: a nickname and a 4-digit PIN, chosen and managed by their parent. Parents control everything a child's screen shows.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for big changes, let you know in the app before they take effect.
